My name is Bryne Knowles and I am so excited to be your head coach this summer! I am seventeen years old and I am going to be a Senior next year at Cherry Creek High School. This will be my fourth year coaching for the Preserve Piranhas! I've swum on the team since I was 9 years old and am so excited to get the opportunity to both coach and swim another year on this team. During the rest of the year I swim for the DU Hilltoppers, and on the Cherry Creek High School Varsity Girls Swim team. Other than swimming, I enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing. My favorite subject in school is math. I love math and science. In the future I am thinking of studying to become a biomedical engineer. I am looking forward to another great summer of coaching and swimming and hope you are as excited as I am!
Hi, my name is Eva Maxey. I am so excited to coach again for the Preserve this summer! This will be my fourth summer coaching as an assistant coach. Next year I will be a senior at Cherry Creek High School. I’ve been a competitive club swimmer for 11 years and now swim year-round for the Aquawolves Swim Team. I also swim for the Cherry Creek High School Girls Varsity Swim Team during the winter season! I’ve been on the Preserve summer team for 10+ years. At school I’ll be in my 6th year of French language study. I’m really looking forward to another awesome summer with this team!
Hi my name is Hannah Eckerman and I’m so excited to be one of your assistant coaches this summer! I’m sixteen years old and am going to be a Senior next year at Cherry Creek High School. This is my first year coaching for the Piranhas but I’m so excited for this season! I’ve been swimming summer league for the Homestead Hurricanes since I was 5 years old and started swimming year round when I was 7. I swam for Aces Swim Club until I was 15 and now have been swimming for Aquawolves the past 2 years. I also swim for Cherry Creek High School Girls Varsity Swim Team during the winter. I’m also a coach for Aquawolves and work with their bronze group a few times a week. I’m so excited to be a part of this team, learn new traditions, meet new kids and families, and work with all these great other coaches! Outside of swimming I love traveling, hiking, skiing, and hanging out with my friends and family. In the future I’m hoping to swim in college and study Psychology. I’m super pumped for this summer and am looking forward to a great season!
Hi, my name is Sean Carr. I swam for the Preserve Piranhas for about 6 years, but this is my first year coaching, and I could not be more excited. I began my swimming career on the Piranhas. I really want to give back to the team that started everything for me, my love and passion for the sport began with the Preserve Piranhas. I have been on a number of teams but Denver Swim Academy for the past six years. I have also swum varsity for the past four years for Regis Jesuit, and have committed to swim in college for Tufts University. I am ecstatic about the prospect of swimming for another four years. When I am out of the water I love playing with my two dogs and seeing my friends.
Hello! My name is Joy Graziano and I am currently a sophomore at Cherry Creek High School. I am a part of the Cherry Creek High school state team, which won second this past season. I am also a member of the Greenwood Tiger Sharks club team since I was eight, and I have been swimming on Preserve since I was eleven. I have coached the Junior Piranhas and I was a junior coach last year. My favorite things to do include swimming and reading any type of book. I am also paddle board certified in both Canada and the United States. I love working with kids all ages, and I’m always excited to mentor kids who are interested in furthering their swimming skills. I look forward to an amazing season!!
Hi! My name is Laura Birkans. I was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I’ve lived in New York, New Jersey, Wisconsin, and Kansas. I've been in swimming lessons ever since I was six months old, and I've been swimming ever since! I attend Cherry Creek High School. I've been swimming with the Preserve Piranhas for eight years and I am currently swimming for the Denver Hilltoppers as my Club/USA swimming team. I am looking forward to hopefully swimming in college. I am on the Varsity team at Cherry Creek. Besides being in the pool, I work hard to keep my grades up and enjoy playing with my two dogs or baking when I have free time. I am looking forward to this season and I am so excited to coach at the Preserve again this year!
Hello! My name is Erin Knowles. I am so excited to be a coach this year and I can't wait to see everyone again this year. This will be my second year coaching as a junior coach. I am 15 years old and I love to swim. During my freetime I like to hang out with friends. I swim on the Cherry Creek High School team. Currently, I swim on TOPS and waterski with my family. I can't wait to coach you all!
Hi all! My name is Alana Maxey and I am super excited to coach this season! I have been a part of the Piranhas since I was 4 years old and have made so many amazing memories each summer. I have also been swimming competitively for 8 years with the Greenwood Tiger Sharks. Next year I will be attending Cherry Creek High School as a freshman.
