Our first prelim meet, for declared swimmers in the 13-18 age group, is tomorrow, Monday July 8th at Ben Franklin Pool. 

Note that each prelim meet is attended by (the designated age group of) all nineteen teams in the Rocky Mountain Swim League, so plan for longer days and bigger competition! The 13-18 meet prelim is traditionally the longest of the prelims and is scheduled to finish around 5:00 pm.

Here is important information for meet day:

• Coach JJ would like all swimmers to arrive and check in by 6:45 AM. Please allow time for parking or drop off.
• Piranhas will be in the pool for warm up at 7:00 AM.
• If you are running late, you may text Coach JJ (720-215-8276) by 6:45 AM to check in. Any entered swimmers not checked in by 6:45 AM will be scratched from the meet.
• The pool location is 1600 E Panama Dr, Centennial, CO 80121.  Please be respectful of neighbor properties when parking on surrounding streets.
• Upon arrival, swimmers (and volunteers) must "check in" at our table next to the red Piranhas tent.

Meet timeline:

• 6:45 - Preserve swimmers arrive & check in
• 7:00 - Preserve swimmers in water for warm up
• 7:00 - Scratch meeting (under the awning)
• 7:30 - Stroke Judge meeting (all shifts; at Starter's Tent)
• 7:40 - Timers' meeting (all shifts; at Starter's Tent)
• 7:50 - Heating begins
• 7:55 - National Anthem
• 8:00 - Meet begins!

Meet documents:

• Attached please find a copy of the meet program, schedule/timeline and general information/venue map sheet. Please print your own copy of the attached documents to bring to the meet, if desired.

General:

• Only those swimmers who declared by the prelims deadline are entered in the meet.
• Please arrive early for volunteer shifts. Stroke Judges and Timers- please see meet timeline above.
• Real-time results will be posted at the meet and on the Meet Mobile app. Note that results posted on the Meet Mobile app may be preliminary and subject to change.
• Food & drinks will be available for sale at the meet.
• As we will be guests at the host pool, please maintain and leave a clean tent/seating area.
• We always suggest warm clothes, extra towels and lots of sunscreen and water for your swimmers. The red Piranhas tent will be set up as always to provide shade for our swimmers. Feel free to set up your own chairs and small shade tents near the Piranhas tent..
• Should you have meet questions or concerns which require assistance before or during the meet, please find/approach one of our terrific parent/board reps (see contact info below) or assistant/junior coaches, not the head coach or any meet officials. The parent/board reps will assist you with any questions or concerns.
