SafeSport Training (mandatory for coaches)
Head & assistant coaches must complete the following training prior to the start of the season (junior coaches are exempt):
- SafeSport training
- Through USA Swimming (free with USA Swimming membership):
- Go to https://usaswimming.org/.
- Click "Login" at the top right and sign in.
- Click on "Education" and then "Course Catalog."
- Filter the courses by "Safe Sport."
- Complete the "Athlete Protection Training" program.
- Through U.S. Center for SafeSport (fee required):
- Go to https://safesporttrained.org/.
- Click "Login" and then click "Sign Up."
- Enter your information and use "N/A" for the organization ID.
- Once logged in, click "Catalog."
- Pay for and complete the SafeSport Trained Core course.
- Note the course is also listed as "SafeSport Trained - Not Affiliated - FFS" in the listing. This course is not swimming specific but covers most of the same material. Both courses are approximately 90 minutes.
