Hello Piranhas Families!

We are pleased and excited to announce the appointment of Bryne Knowles as Head Coach for the 2020 summer season!  Bryne is an active member of both the Cherry Creek High School Varsity Swim Team and year-round University of Denver Hilltoppers swim club and is a long-time swimmer for the Piranhas. Having served as Assistant Coach under Coach JJ, she is the perfect choice to lead our team going forward.

Our full coaching roster is being finalized and will be announced soon. We are still recruiting for supporting coach roles, and any interested candidates (competitive swimming background preferred) should contact us by February 21, 2020.

We are also still recruiting for two swim team board positions, Parent Rep and Treasurer. If you are interested in contributing your time in one of these fun positions, we would love to hear from you.

Looking ahead, here are some key calendar dates for the 2020 season:

• Sat, April 4:  Team registration opens (online at preservepiranhas.com)
• Mon, May 18:  Pizza party/season kickoff (after school, at Preserve pool)
• Tues, May 19:  Swim practices begin (after school)
• Thurs, May 28:  Intrasquad swim meet (at Preserve pool)
• Sat, May 30:  First dual swim meet (Preserve @ Green Oaks)
• Mon-Fri, July 6-10:  Prelims week (one meet per age group)
• Sat, July 11:  Finals meet
• Sun, July 12:  Team Banquet

As always, please refer to our team website and the RMSL league website for up-to-date information about the upcoming season. We'll distribute more information about the Piranhas and Junior Piranhas programs over the coming weeks.

Please feel free to forward this email to any prospective Piranhas or Junior Piranhas members. In particular, we hope to achieve full participation from all Preserve resident youth swimmers!
