Hello Piranhas Families!

The Piranhas Swim Board is in need of 3 new parent board volunteers to keep the fun alive for the upcoming 2021 season. 

Before you decide, please consider:

1. The coaching staff is in place! The current board has spent a great deal of time sourcing & interviewing candidates and now the 2021 coaching staff is set. Score!
2. Completely reasonable time commitment. Surprised? So were we. The board is typically made up of 4-5 parents with varying swim knowledge and an equal willingness to pitch in. The result? New friendships among parents and no exasperation. Win-Win!
3. No volunteer shifts! If you have multiple kids swimming, join the board. Your volunteer commitment is not that much greater and you have more control over when you put in the hours. Farewell heating shift A!
4. Continuation of board members and key volunteers. As we actively engage new board members (treasurer, secretary and parent rep), the existing board has agreed to stay on in their positions emeritus throughout the season to help transition new board members. Chuck Herbert will continue on as Volunteer Coordinator. Kate O’Keefe will be there as Meet Manager to run the fastest meets in the league. And, importantly, we have our starter/referee, announcer and other key roles covered! Board positions are generally a two-year position.

DO IT FOR THE KIDS: It is worth all the smiles, cheers and personal pride witnessed over the six-week season for just a little extra effort behind the scenes. We are in critical need of new volunteers. We genuinely cannot do it without you!
