Hello Piranhas Families!

Here is important information for our dual meet tomorrow, Sat 6/3 vs. the Cherry Knolls Neptunes (at Cherry Knolls pool, 3601 E. Costilla Place Centennial, CO 80122 - not to be confused with The Knolls team pool!).

Due to expected cold temperatures, the meet will start one hour later than usual. Here is the updated meet timeline:

• 7:45-8:15am – Cherry Knolls swimmers warm up in pool
• 8:00 - Piranhas swimmers arrive & check in (at table near red Piranhas tent)
• 8:15-8:45 – Piranhas swimmers warm up in pool (optional for younger swimmers due to cold temperatures)
• 8:30 – Scratch meeting (upstairs in clubhouse)
• 8:40 – Stroke Judges and Timers (all shifts) meet by the starter tent with Starter/Ref.
• 8:45 - Heating begins for events 1-11
• 8:55 – National Anthem
• 9:00 – Meet begins

• All swimmers must arrive and/or check in with Coach Joy (call/text 720-660-0378) or Coach Alana (call/text 303-717-3748) by 8:20am to avoid being scratched from the meet!!!
• The weather will be cool & possibly wet, so please bundle up the kiddos with plenty of WARM & DRY clothing! Sleeping bags, rain gear, umbrella tents and extra towels are encouraged.
• Families may set up tents in the grassy area just north of the baby pool.
• Concessions will be available (breakfast items (burritos, donuts, etc.) and hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch), so come hungry! CASH ONLY.
• Tents may be set-up on the northwest corner of the pool, outside the fence (please help with tent clean-up at the conclusion of the meet).
• Meet results will be posted on the SwimTopia app.
• Meet scratches: Reminder that last-minute meet scratches are consequential to relays. If you must scratch your swimmer, please be sure to inform Coach Joy or Coach Alana as early as possible.

Looking ahead to next week:

• Stroke Clinics: Tues (8 & under) and Thurs (9 & up), 4:30p-5:30p at the Preserve pool.
• Morning practices begin Monday 6/5.
• Declare your swimmers now for the Sat 6/10 meet (Cherry Creek Vista @ Preserve).
• Deadline to declare is 12 noon Wed (June 7) prior to Sat meet.
• No entries will be accepted after the Wed deadline, per league rule.

• Please RSVP for the Piranhas BYOB team dinner night, Fri June 9.
• Bring your dinner/beverages to the pool & join the rest of the team to swim and have fun before our first home meet..
• Feel free to stay and help set up for first home meet (Sat 6/10) v CCV!
