Team Win, Prelim Eligibility and Future Events
The Preserve Piranhas pulled off a dramatic team victory over the Knolls Tsunami, winning the final two relays to come from behind and seal the win! With 38 Preserve swimmers scoring individual points and 12 Preserve relays taking first place, this was a true team win.
The Preserve Individual Point winners:
More Preserve team records were broken during the meet.
Gracie Baker shattered the longest-standing record in Preserve team history,
shaving over 1.7 seconds off the 8&U Girls 50M Freestyle record that had
stood since 2008. Gracie also broke her
own 8&U Girls 25M Butterfly record.
Preserve swimmers continue to rank well among the Rocky Mountain Swim League
(RMSL) – the following includes all Preserve Swimmers ranked in the top 5:
Stroke Clinic with Coach Emily - Tomorrow
Please remember to RSVP if your swimmer plans to attend tomorrow’s stroke
clinic so we can plan groups appropriately.
Next Meet – Heritage Village Sea Lions (Away, 6/27)
Our next meet is away against Heritage Village. Meet declarations
are now open in SwimTopia and the RSVP deadline, as always, is
Wednesday at noon.
Prelims & Finals Eligibility
As a reminder, swimmers must compete in at least two regular season
meets to be eligible for RMSL prelims and finals. Saturday, 6/27, is the last chance to become
eligible!
We have now opened prelims signups in SwimTopia. Please go in and declare if you intend to have your swimmer participate. If their name appears greyed out or you’re unable to register them, it means they still need one additional regular season meet to qualify.
We’ve also opened job signups for prelims and finals, so please chose a volunteer role if you are participating!
Have a great week,
The Preserve Piranhas Board
